Taproom Grand Opening Features Three Breweries

PORTLAND, OR – The Civic Taproom and Bottle Shop is holding its Grand Opening Celebration this Saturday, Dec. 20, from noon-midnight. Local beer and cider breweries will be featured throughout the day. Mazama Brewing (12-3p), Reverend Nat’s Cider (3-6p), and Buoy Beer (6-9p) each will have several kegs on tap, brewers on hand to talk about their libations, and swag for customer giveaways. Neighbor Boise Fry Co. will provide fry samples.

Located adjacent to Providence Park at 621 SW 19th Ave, The Civic is the first taproom to open on Portland’s west side since 2007. In fact, The Civic is the only bar that bills itself as a “taproom” in both the Nob Hill and Goose Hollow neighborhoods. Besides a few supermarkets, The Civic is also the only true bottle shop in the area.

At Reverend Nat’s Hard Cider, we search the world for superior ingredients to handcraft the most unusual ciders that no one else will make. Founder Nat West has been making cider at home since 2004 and opened Reverend Nat’s Hard Cider in September of 2011. With unique flagship products like the dry-hopped Hallelujah Hopricot and quinine-bittered Deliverance Ginger Tonic, we are making cider in the creative spirit of beer geeks. About Buoy Beer Co. It was the original idea of Astoria, Ore. entrepreneur Luke Colvin, who was seeking a way to have a bigger impact in the community beyond his successful service based arbor business. Together we spend our days (and nights) making damn good beer, great food, and working hard to create a tremendous space and culture for our community to enjoy with us. And we’re proud of that.
